Putting perpetrators into the picture - Domestic Abuse Commissioner


With 2.3 million adult victims of domestic abuse each year and this is not an issue just for the police but one that needs gripping by leaders of every type across society


The Domestic Abuse Act became law in April 2021. In this Act there is a legal commitment from the government to publish a strategy focusing on perpetrators of domestic abuse.


The Call to Action for a Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Strategy sets out the five elements that according to over 100 experts, including survivors and organisations, must be included by government in the Perpetrator Strategy for it to be safe and effective.
