Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding Forum
March 16 @ 11:58 am
Back In Control Consultancy (BiCC) Hidden Harm Within Faith Communities Domestic Abuse & Safeguarding Forum Following on from the HHWFC conference on 7th December 2019 we have set up this Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding Forum.
BICC ensures that rigorous evidence is used to shape all our events. We were, therefore, grateful for input from those who attended the event, which indicated that you would like to experience more interactive forms of engagement and that more young people should be supported to identify the dynamics of domestic abuse and sexual violence.
Acting on this feedback, BICC has established a new forum to facilitate interaction between a wider group of people.
Joining the forum will give you the opportunity to:
Engage with other people who are also finding ways to identify and tackle sexual violence/abuse Discuss effective approaches Access the latest research, policy information and legal guidance Hear about events and training
How should I respond
How can I support BICC
Safeguarding Bring your and share your questions such as; What are the warning signs/Red flags Why doesn’t she leave? Why do perpetrators abuse? How can I help a perpetrator of abuse How will my children be affected? How can I get support from my faith leader? I don’t want others to know – I feel so ashamed. Will people believe me? Suppose they tell my husband? Is it still rape if it’s my husband?
What’s next? It is our first BAME Hidden Harm within Faith Communities DA & Safeguarding interaction forum and will be held on Date: Tuesday 7th April 2020 Time: 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm Location: Woodlawn’s Centre, 16 Leigham Court Road, Streatham, London SW16 2PJ
There is a very important Multi-Faith Safeguarding Conference I’d like to share this information with you too!
